The world ended so suddenly most don’t even know why. Not that it matters anymore. With the modern world in tatters and most of its people gone, those left are only concerned with hanging on.

After wandering the wilds for a year, yet only crossing paths a handful of souls, Smith has found a place he might be able to call home. He knows a lot of formerly useless things learned in a misspent youth haunting renaissance faires and building archaic weapons and armor that caught his interest. Yet in this new world skills from the old world find new value. They could mean the difference between life and death.

But while knowledge is power, there is still the day to day to consider. Just as he starts to get comfortable an important mission takes him away from his would be home for the sake of bettering it. Things are never easy out in the wild, though. Not even with new friends at his back.
