( these two stories were previously published inside the two separate books, Destinations and Captain's Choice.)
Two spaceship crews, two odd occurrences…
In Captain's Choice, Captain Robert Halloway and his crew are mapping an infinite layer of space when they're forced to make an unplanned stop--where Halloway also finds himself tasked with mapping what the future will be.
In Destinations, the crew of the Spacebender are normally assigned routine jobs in the Space Force, but when they're finally given an out of the ordinary job, they wind up dealing with something even more out of the ordinary.

Notes from the Captain's Choice is about 10,000 words, and Destinations is about 7,100 words. Both of these novelettes were previously published as single editions; they're stand-alone stories in my Diamond Universe, and they contain a bit of swearing. Some other DU Backflow, Firestone, Omnivelocity, and Hellscape.
About the I have an academic background in engineering and science, and a degree in space science in part. For years I worked as a scientific copy editor for a nonfiction publishing house, but now I spend my days--and too many late nights--trying to solve fictional "what if" problems. I've been writing for 25 years.
