Charlie Temple needs redemption. After a series of harrowing events at LIORA, Inc., some people think she’s more of a liability than an asset—and others think she’s part of a conspiracy. Charlie has to prove she’s a team player and not out to sabotage the company. \

The interns are reassigned to a secret project in the secured magic engineering labs. When Charlie’s workstation mysteriously explodes, the power is knocked out. The lights come back on, along with an experimental security AI—and they discover that a dangerous magical artifact has gone missing.

The security AI accuses Charlie of sabotage and theft, and her fellow interns are labeled as accomplices.

The interns are on the run. If they can’t find the magical artifact, the entire building and everyone inside it will go up in magical flames. The security AI is after them. The security team can’t save them. The magic engineering floor is locked down, and the real culprit is hiding somewhere among them…

And Charlie thinks their only hope might be her number one enemy.
