Description:

Special Agent Rainey Bell is on medical leave and has been for over a year, after a horrific attack left her scarred both inside and out. She drinks too much and hasn't had a good night's sleep in months. On a hung-over morning, in June, Rainey finds herself thrust back into the world of stalkers, rapist and serial killers by a request for help, from an old friend. The next thirteen days will change Rainey's life forever, if she survives. On top of all that, Katie, her friend's wife, the one she is supposed to protect, brings out feelings Rainey didn't know she had. Though Katie is married and neither she nor Rainey has ever been in a lesbian relationship, the two women are thrown together by a bizarre series of events, learning to depend on each other for survival.

About the Author

R. E. Bradshaw is a native of the Outer Banks of North Carolina, now living in Oklahoma. A former university and high school Theatre instructor, Ms. Bradshaw has recently begun writing full time. After publishing her first four lesbian fiction novels in the fall of 2010, the demand for the next in both, the Rainey Bell Mysteries and the Adventures of Decky and Charlie, series are keeping her extremely busy. In addition to writing lesbian fiction, Ms. Bradshaw also enjoys historical research, dramaturgy and genealogy. She has plans to complete a Civil War historical fiction novel in the near future. The novel, five years in the making, is based on an ancestor's dealings with General Sherman, in the spring of 1865. Two other historical fiction novels are in the works, as well. Proud of her Tar Heel roots, all of R. E. Bradshaw's books, thus far, have been set in her beloved home state of North Carolina. Her love of the Outer Banks, southern traditions, and Carolina women rings throughout her works. One reviewer wrote, "R.E. Bradshaw knows the Outer Banks area, women's softball, lesbians, architectural design ideas, bi polar disease, fishing rods and fishing boats, delightful dogs, southern charm, good cooking and love at first sight."
