Some fantasy is defined by the world created. Some fantasy is defined by the characters living larger than life stories. Justin Sloan's work, especially in Land of the Gods is not defined by either of these. Rather, his stories have a relentlessly hypnotic and addictive pacing. Justin knows how to fit more into ten pages than most writers cram into whole books.

Easily the most captivating book I have read this year. The writing was easy to read, well paced, and descriptive enough without being entangling. I was quickly sucked in by the story and look forward to reading the next book in the series.
