Unfortunately, so does the Reawakening. The Barren teeters at the brink of destruction and the Buried Gods grow in power. Angel's race to bring Old World Magic back is coming to an end, but with every step he takes along the desert, he learns of just how little he truly understood about the System and Soul's ultimate goals.
